Ordering a SoYouStart dedicated server

Ordering a server with dedicated server provider SoYouStart is very easy and takes only a few minutes.

Choose a size
There are 3 different sizes: GAME-1, GAME-2 and GAME-3. The main difference between these servers is the RAM (memory in the server). Game servers like ARK use quite a lot of memory. If you're looking to host multiple game servers on your dedicated SoYouStart server, we recommend going with 32GB minimum (GAME-2 & GAME-3).

Depending on the number of mods installed and memory consumption generally you can host:

  • 1 - 3 ARK servers on GAME-1
  • 3 - 6 ARK servers on GAME-2
  • 6 - 10 ARK servers on GAME-3

Choose a region
Based on your location, or the location of your players, we recommend to go with the datacenter that is closest to your location. SoYouStart has 2 datacenters: France (Europe) and Canada (North America).

If you're not sure what size works best for you, we generally recommend going for GAME-2. 

Order your desired size in the right region
Click on the shopping cart, for your desired server. Pay attention to the region (see screenshot).

Enter customer information & terms

After continuing to the next page, you will be requested to pay for the server. You can pay via:

  • PayPal
  • iDeal
  • Check
  • Transfer
  • Visa / Mastercard

Done!
After your payment is received, your server will be prepared. This usually takes about 10 - 20 minutes.
